About Mālamalama Waldorf School
Founded in 1978, Mālamalama Waldorf School is an independent, non-profit school located on 20 beautiful acres in the rainforest of Hawaiian Paradise Park on Hawaiʻi Island. We offer Waldorf education for children from preschool through 8th grade and are proud to have served the Puna community for over 40 years.
Our graduates regularly go on to hold top academic honors in high school, including graduating as valedictorians and salutatorians. They are also leaders in athletic, artistic, and performing arts endeavors.
The Big Island offers a unique lifestyle full of cultural richness and natural beauty—from surfing in the morning to snow on Mauna Kea by evening. With a supportive school community, a dedicated faculty, and strong parent involvement, Mālamalama provides a nurturing environment for students and staff alike.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that values diversity and promotes equity.
