Sequoyah Hills Early Enrichment Program is a Knoxville, Tennessee preschool that began in 2002 at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church. SHEEP provides a Christian environment for the development of physical, spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and social aspects of children. We offer families creative experiences where the whole child can develop a love of learning in an atmosphere of safety and security. SHEEP staff use a variety of teaching methods that strengthen Christian values, a moral conscience, and a sense of community and responsibility.
The preschool program is designed to recognize the uniqueness of each child and strive to meet his/her needs. We believe all children's development-socialization, communication, fine and gross motor, physical, cognitive, and emotional well being are important when planning for a preschool environment. The hands on group and self directed activities promote a sense of wonder, an enjoyment of learning, and a positive attitude toward school. Process oriented rather than product oriented experiences are incorporated to allow children to explore and have success at any developmental level. Successful experiences promote self confidence and reinforce children to learn.
