Early Childhood Substitute
About This Role
We're seeking a substitute educator to join our team at Timberline Learning Center, an early childhood school in Breckenridge, Colorado. As an on-call substitute, you'll collaborate with our teaching teams to create a welcoming environment that encourages children to learn and grow. You'll provide flexible support to multiple classrooms, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. Our mission is to educate by cultivating the wonder of learning through meaningful partnerships.

What You'll Do
In partnership with a classroom teaching team, the substitute staff member builds community and encourages children to play, learn and grow in a welcoming, joyful environment. Substitutes provide flexible support to multiple classrooms throughout the school. They assist teachers in the implementation of daily flow, provocations, and routines
Requirements
Ability to pass comprehensive background check (fingerprinting and child abuse registry)
Minimum one year of experience working with children ages 0-6
Availability on an as-needed, on-call basis
Demonstrated flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia Approach, Project Approach, or play-based learning philosophies
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Colorado Shines PDIS Level 2 Credential or above
- Coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Associate degree or higher in education or an education-related field
