Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant/Aide
About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher Assistant/Aide to join our team in Lopatcong, NJ. In this role, you will work closely with lad teachers to create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will play a vital orle in supporting classroom management, implementing age-appropriate activities and fostering the emotional, social and intellectual growth and independence of our students.
What You'll Do
- Assist the teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, educational activities and routines
- Provide individual and small-group support to children to reinforce learning concepts and social skills
- Provide direct supervision and care to children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist children with daily needs, including meals, bathroom transitions and personal hygiene
- Document and communicate student progress and daily activities to lead teachers and parents
- Guide children in developing positive social behaviors, conflict resolution and self-help skills
- Prepare learning materials, set up activities, and maintain a clean, organized classroom environment .
- Model positive behaviors to encourage self-help and good hygiene habits in children.
- Comply with all center policies and state regulations..
- Pursue ongoing professional development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center, preschool or school setting
- Ability to meet all state licensing requirements, including passing a comprehensive criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Physical stamina to actively engage with young children, including bending, kneeling and lifting up to 35 pounds
Nice to Have
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or college coursework in Early Childhood Education
- Knowledge of New Jersey birth to three or preschool teaching standards
- Experience working with infants, toddlers and preschool students with diverse learning needs or developmental delays
- Appreciation and respect for nature and the environment
- Availability for opening and/or closing shift

Our certified and experienced teachers provide a quality childcare program for students ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
