About This Role
This Infant Room Teacher opportunity at The Neighborhood Learning Center serves Infant / Toddler (0–2) and requires no formal credential — just relevant experience. Based in Purcellville, VA, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.
We're on the hunt for a fantastic team member who is passionate about caring for infants and can bring a spark of energy to our childcare center. The ideal candidate will work with us on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, in one of our engaging infant rooms. This dynamic individual should feel at ease interacting with children aged 6 weeks to 2 years and be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, which includes lifting up to 20 pounds. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and education level.

What You'll Do
- Give individualized care to each infant, including feeding, diaper changing, and playful interaction
- Organize and pack each child's belongings to ensure a smooth transition home
- Effectively manage the morning and afternoon routines, ensuring that each child and their belongings are accounted for
- Conclude the day by securing the room
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with infants
- Previous experience in caring for infants
- Excellent communication skills to interact with parents at drop-off and pick-up
- Detailed-oriented approach to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper handling of children's belongings
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, bend, twist, and sit on the floor as needed
Nice to Have
Prior experience in a childcare setting would be a valuable asset to our team.
