Position Summary
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early learning team. The ideal candidate will create a warm, responsive, and stimulating classroom environment for children ages 12–36 months. This individual will plan and implement age-appropriate activities, foster positive relationships with families, and lead classroom operations while supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging curriculum and activities tailored to the needs of toddlers.
- Design and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that encourages children to learn and grow.
- Monitor, assess, and document children's growth and development to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff to create a sense of community.
- Ensure the classroom is organized, clean, and compliant with licensing regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and classroom aides to help them succeed in their roles.
- Use positive behavior guidance techniques to help children develop essential social-emotional skills.
- Keep families informed about their child's progress and daily activities through regular communication.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and center events to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and sanitation procedures in the classroom.
Requirements
- Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Minimum age requirement as mandated by state licensing regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Early Childhood Education Short Certificate or equivalent
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
- Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors.
Nice to Have
- Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Lead teacher experience in a toddler classroom.
