Teacher Assistant

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and supervision for infants.
2. Assist with feeding, diapering, nap routines, and daily classroom activities.
3. Create a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment.
4. Observe and support children's developmental progress and milestone achievement.
5. exploration, sensory experiences, and early learning through play.
6. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
7. Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:       

High School diploma or GED required.

1. Previous experience in school-age care is preferred
2. Must meet all state licensing requirements.
3. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with others.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
7. Complete 20 hours of professional development annually.

Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend at the waist; stoop, kneel, crouch; lift/move up to 20 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands; repetitive use of fingers and hands.
