This 3K Teacher-Childcare opportunity at Early Beginnings Learning Center serves Preschool (3–5) and requires the appropriate professional qualifications. Based in Columbia, SC, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.
The 3K Teacher maintains a structured classroom, builds positive relationships with children and families, observes and documents developmental progress, and ensures compliance with all South Carolina DSS licensing regulations and center policies. What You'll Do
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate daily lessons and activities.
Foster language, literacy, math, science, and creative development through play-based learning.
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence.
Supervise children at all times while maintaining health and safety standards.
Conduct observations and developmental assessments and communicate progress with families.
Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, lesson plans, and classroom documentation.
Keep the classroom clean, organized, and inviting.
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administration, and families.
Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development.
Ensure compliance with DSS regulations, center policies, and classroom ratios.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required (CDA, Early Childhood credential, or related degree preferred).
Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
Knowledge of child development and positive behavior guidance.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
