Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for our preschoolers. You will implement a prewritten curriculum that emphasizes creativity, exploration, and play-based learning.
Working Schedule: Candidates applying for this position must be able to work Monday through Friday, at a minimum of 25 hours per week (up to 40 hours/week).
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement daily activities aligned with our curriculum standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor children's progress and development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance our program
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Manage classroom behaviors
- Adhere to OEC regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Previous experience in a preschool or early childhood setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for early childhood education and the arts
Nice to Have
- Some education in Early Childhood preferred
- Knowledge of CT ELDS
- First aid/CPR certification
