About This Role
We are seeking to hire a skilled Preschool Cook/Cafe Manager for a thriving preschool in Richmond, VA. The manager will plan and cook healthy meals and manage daily cafe operations.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve healthy meals for preschool children
- Create weekly menus that meet child nutrition standards
- Order food supplies and track kitchen inventory
- Input data daily for the federal food program and maintain records for the program
- Clean and maintain the kitchen and cafe area ,
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass a state background check and health screening
- Cooking and Meal Prep Skills
- Ability to Multitask
- Computer Literacy
- Time Management Skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift food boxes
- Must be able to stand for extended periods as needed during meal preparation and cooking
Nice to Have
ServeSafe Certification, but will provide the training
First aid and CPR certification
