About This Role


We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant learning community in Phoenix, AZ, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.


What You'll Do

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing engaging daily lesson plans and activities
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure a safe environment
  • Prepare classroom materials, craft supplies, and snack times
  • Support children with social-emotional development and daily routines

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 6 months of experience working with preschool-aged children
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Completed Early Childhood Education (ECE) college coursework or units
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience in a licensed childcare facility

What it takes:


  • HS/GED
  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in Early Childhood Education.
  • Have worked with QF
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus, but not required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (training can be provided after hire)
  • Food Handlers Card
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with instruction of children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
  • Help maintain areas clean
  • Foster and help promote a fun and safe learning environment along with promoting early education and literacy.
  • Assists with the implementation of lesson plans and adapt available teaching methods to meet the interests and needs of the children.
  • Assists with developing schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
  • Communicate with parents on the growth and progress of their students or children.
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students.

Requirements

  • HS/GED
