About This Role
We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our childcare team here at Little Learners Academy. In this role, you will create a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where infants can grow, explore, and reach early developmental milestones. You will serve as a trusted partner to parents, providing exceptional physical care and intentional early learning experiences.
What You'll Do
- Nurturing Care: Administer responsive care including feeding, diapering, soothing, and maintaining safe sleep routines.
- Curriculum Implementation: Design and lead age-appropriate, sensory-rich activities that promote motor skills, language development, and social-emotional growth.
- Parent Partnership: Maintain open, daily communication with families regarding their child's milestones, routines, and daily care logs using the Tadpole App.
- Classroom Safety: Ensure a clean, sanitized, and secure classroom that strictly complies with state licensing regulations and safety standards.
- Observation & Assessment: Track and document individual developmental progress to share with parents on a progress report twice a year.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate’s degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Key Skills: Deep knowledge of infant development, good communication skills, and the physical stamina to lift, bend, and sit on the floor with children.
