Associate Infant Teacher
About This Role
Above & Beyond Childcare is looking to fill the position of Lead Infant Teacher! This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual to create a nurturing, positive, and safe classroom for the children in their care. Lead Teachers develop a monthly curriculum and manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom. This position requires an understanding of early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practices, and the need for healthy social-emotional relationships.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 9 credits in Early Childhood Education OR have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
