About This Role
We are seeking Spanish speaking early childhood educators to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and classroom management, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing age-appropriate curricula, using active supervision, supporting child development, and collaborating with families to support the whole child; mind, body, and heart.
What You'll Do
- Implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards using Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum
- Infuse cultural identity and implement cultural curriculum lessons provided by franchise.
- Utilize ASQ to collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Teach activities of daily living, including toileting.
- Utilize early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
- Utilize active supervision.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children.
- Experience using active supervision.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Use environmentally friendly practices.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is essential for success in this role.
- Spanish language.
- CPR, first aid certification
- Sleep Baby Safe (SIDS)
- Abusive Head Trauma
- Mandatory Reporter/Child abuse and neglect
