About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Teacher to join our educational team in Brookline, NH. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support classroom instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and help manage daily classroom activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring educator to gain valuable hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact on the development of young learners.
What You'll Do
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and preparing instructional materials.
- Provide individual and small group support to students to reinforce learning concepts.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise students during transition times, recess, and lunch periods.
- Observe and document student progress and behavior to share with the lead teacher.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 credits in Child Growth and Development and at least 1000 of experience working with children in a structured environment, such as a school, child care program, or camp.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass required state background checks.
- Available to work until 5:30 pm
Nice to Have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- OR - Valid New Hampshire Paraeducator certification.
