Opening Childcare Teacher

What You'll Do

Arriving on time and ready to begin the opening shift

Welcoming children and families each morning

Providing attentive supervision and maintaining required ratios

Engaging children through play, conversation, reading, and age-appropriate learning activities

Assisting children with morning routines and transitions

Diapering/toileting and maintaining proper hygiene procedures

Serving or assisting with breakfast and meals as needed

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom

Following all center policies and licensing requirements

Communicating professionally with parents, coworkers, and administration

Completing required attendance and classroom documentation

Maintaining a cell-phone-free classroom environment

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older

High school diploma or GED

Must be dependable, punctual, and able to consistently report for an early-morning opening shift

Previous childcare experience preferred

Must have a genuine love for working with children

Must be able to actively engage with children throughout the day

Must be able to follow classroom routines, center policies, and licensing requirements

Must be comfortable with diapering, toileting, feeding, cleaning, and other daily childcare responsibilities

Must be able to communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and management

Must be willing to complete all required childcare training

Must be able to pass all required background checks

Must be able to work in a cell-phone-free classroom

Must be a team player with a positive attitude

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required
