Pre-K Lead Teacher
About This Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team at our 2015 Tiny Town Road location in Clarksville, TN. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young learners. You will lead classroom activities, design engaging lesson plans, and collaborate with families to ensure every child is prepared for their transition to kindergarten.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with state early learning standards.
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages curiosity and social growth.
- Assess and document child progress through regular observations and developmental portfolios.
- Maintain open, professional communication with parents and guardians regarding child milestones and daily updates.
- Ensure the classroom meets all state licensing, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, fingerprinting, and a medical clearance physical.
Nice to Have
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
- Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or state-approved teaching certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading a classroom in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
- Certification in Pediatric CPR and First Aid.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and inclusive classroom settings.
