About This Role

Part-time shifts open - Join our early childhood education team in Louisville, KY, as a part-time Teacher or Teacher's Assistant on our morning or afternoon shift. Flexible hours. For example: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

You will lead or assist in age-appropriate activities, keep children safe and engaged through the afternoon and parent pickup, and build trusting relationships with families.

Classroom placement is based on qualifications: the most qualified applicant will be placed in the room that best fits their skills and experience.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and lead daily age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, and early learning development.
  • Supervise children at all times and keep a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets Kentucky childcare licensing regulations.
  • Handle afternoon routines including nap wake-up, snacks, diapering or toileting, outdoor play, and end-of-day parent pickup.
  • Observe children and share daily updates and developmental milestones with parents.
  • Work with lead teachers and directors to maintain classroom ratios and smooth transitions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) check.
  • Must provide a negative TB skin test result.
  • Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or school setting.
  • Available to work the full 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM shift.

Nice to Have

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Kentucky childcare licensing requirements and early childhood standards.
