About This Role
The Teacher Assistant plays a crucial role in creating a nurturing environment for young children, working collaboratively with the teaching staff to design engaging activities and promote quality education. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. This position involves observing children's interests and progress, documenting and sharing this information with parents and staff, and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and implementation of curriculum activities that cater to children's diverse needs and interests.
- Participate actively in daily classroom activities, ensuring a clean and organized environment, and maintaining the availability of necessary materials.
- Foster open communication with parents through regular discussions and progress updates, promoting a sense of community and shared responsibility.
- Model positive behavior, encouraging children to develop self-help skills and good hygiene practices.
- Assist in transitioning children smoothly from home to the childcare center, ensuring a seamless daily routine.
- Adhere to all center policies and state regulations, upholding the highest standards of care and education.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to continuously enhance teaching skills and improve overall quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director, responding to the evolving needs of the childcare center.
- Drive the center vehicle(s)/transport children when necessary.
Requirements
- Must pass a health screening.
- Must clear full background check & TB Test.
- Have childcare experience in a classroom setting
- Have reliable transportation

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
