About This Role

This dynamic educator must possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide their team.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs tailored to the unique needs of each child, incorporating principles of developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Empower teaching teams to succeed by serving as a role model, providing coaching and guidance, and promoting a positive team dynamic.
- Design and deliver interactive age-appropriate activities to encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents through various channels, including progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal discussions.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations at all times.
- Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment, adhering to rigorous standards for hygiene, cleanliness, and child safety.
- Supervise and support teacher assistants and volunteers in their roles, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
- Accurately maintain records, forms, and files, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Pursue ongoing professional development, creating and implementing a personal plan to enhance quality and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Must pass health screening.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Must clear full background check.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
Nice to Have
- Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
