About This Role
Full-Time Infants/Young Toddler Classroom Teacher Assistant for a year-round program. Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week. Positively interact with children on a regular basis throughout the day and assist them with their needs. Support classroom Teacher. Responsible for the safety and well-being of children at all times. Provide a warm and inviting classroom environment that is always prepared and ready to offer care for our young children on a daily basis.
What You'll Do
- Interactions such as: diapering, cleaning, activities, comforting, napping, playing, assisting with feedings/mealtimes, gross motor play, bonding, etc...
- Work alongside classroom Teacher with classroom organization and management ensuring compliance.
- Follow Teacher's weekly lesson plans and activities and follow classroom/children's schedules.
- Assist with completing evaluations and record student progress.
- Open communication with parents.
- Maintain all records and reports of meals, attendance, illness, wee-mails, accident/injury/unusual incident.
- Participate in workshops and complete yearly trainings/professional development.
- Follow all practices and procedures.
- Assist in all areas of need.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood or CDA preferred (must have a minimum of a High School Diploma).
- Knowledge of the Creative Curriculum and GOLD's Assessment a plus.
- Must be willing to provide proof of Physical and TB Test Results.
- Must be willing to complete a CARI Background Check and Fingerprints.
- Pediatric First-Aid Certification Required or willing to obtain upon hire.
