School Chef/Kitchen Manager
About This Role
Do you love cooking for people but are sick of the hustle/bustle of the restaurant life and working weekends and holidays? I may have the perfect position for you!
We are a busy and growing early learning center and are looking for a chef to create a pescatarian menu (no shellfish) for the children using seasonal produce and healthy ingredients. Our center provides breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. This person will also be responsible for maintaining sanitary kitchen standards, keeping an accurate inventory, ordering food and washing dishes.
What You'll Do
- Menu creation
- Cooking
- Keeping an inventory of food and supplies
- Ordering food for center
- Sanitizing dishes
Requirements
- Must have professional kitchen/cooking experience.
- Be able to pass a DCYF portable background test
- Provide proof of MMR vaccine, titer showing antibodies, or medical exemption
- Have had a TB test in the past 3 years or able to obtain a negative TB test before starting work
- Must be patient and kind to children

- Active MERIT account/ STARS ID
- CPR/First Aid/BBP certs
