Calvary Chapel Christian Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and mission-minded Elementary Teacher to join our Christian school team.
We are looking for an educator who loves children, values Christian education, and desires to help students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This role is a good fit for someone who is reliable, organized, teachable, and committed to creating a structured, encouraging, Christ-centered classroom.
Our elementary program uses Abeka curriculum while also aligning instruction with the Virginia Standards of Learning. We are looking for a teacher who can provide strong academic instruction, model Christian character, and serve students and families with humility, consistency, and care.

What You'll Do
- Plan and teach daily lessons for elementary students using Abeka curriculum and Virginia Standards of Learning
- Create a structured, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment
- Support student growth in reading, writing, math, Bible, science, social studies, and other subject areas
- Use curriculum, assessments, and classroom data to guide instruction
- Provide academic support, reteaching, and enrichment based on student needs
- Maintain clear classroom expectations and positive student behavior
- Model Christian character, servant leadership, humility, and care
- Communicate kindly and professionally with students, families, and coworkers
- Partner with families to support student progress and development
- Maintain accurate grades, lesson plans, records, and required documentation
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, school events, and professional responsibilities as assigned
- Support the mission, culture, and daily needs of the academy

- Ability to complete required background checks, paperwork, and training
- Teaching experience or education coursework is preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching elementary-age students

- Knowledge of the Virginia Standards of Learning
- Experience in a Christian school, private school, homeschool, church, or classroom setting
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Teaching certification or eligibility for certification
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience with differentiated instruction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with biblical integration in the classroom
- A teachable spirit and willingness to grow
