Calvary Christian Preschool is a faith-based center that is a part of Calvary Christian School. We are a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. We place a high priority on promoting literacy, teaching social-emotional skills, building character, and demonstrating Christ’s love through word and action. What You'll Do
- Schedule and implement lessons / activities for your class
- Be organized and create a positive learning environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms
- Ensure a safe structured learning environment.
- Maintain accurate tracking of children following DSS Ratios
- Complete ongoing training each year in order to meet all requirements for DSS
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma.
- Six months experience as a teacher/caregiver in a DSS regulated facility or a degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field is preferred, but training will be provided as needed.
- Strong use of technology in order to communicate with parents/other staff and log children in/out or transfer between classrooms.
- Must be a professing Christian with a Biblically sound salvation experience that is clearly communicated and be active in a local Bible-believing church.
- Must exhibit a Christ-like servant attitude.
- Must maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, and in agreement with ministry policy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment to provide the best care possible.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of personnel and student matters.
Nice to Have
CPR/First-Aid Certifications are a plus, but training for certifications will be provided if necessary.
