About This Role
As a Toddler Teacher you will:
- Initiate and implement planned group activities geared to the developmental needs of children and to channel productively the energies and interest of these children.
- Awareness of and attentive to the needs of the individual children
- Assist in the training and direction of the efforts of Assistant Teacher(s)
- Develop relationships and actively maintain positive communications with parents
- Maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe classroom environment.

What You'll Do
- Help build a supportive team and function within the team
- Plan (according to CCDC philosophy & curriculum), implement, and direct varied and developmentally appropriate classroom activities that will enable children to develop and grow in their individual interest and abilities
- Complete developmental assessments on each child in classroom; schedule and meet with families for conferences
- Assist in the development of short - and long range- objectives/goals for overall improvement in class programs
- Be sensitive and responsive to families and act as a resource for them
- Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior
- Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities
- Develop and maintain a positive, professional, working relationship with other staff
Requirements
- An Associate's degree with 12 or more Early Childhood credits or
- A Bachelor's Degree from a college or university
- Copies of educational transcripts on or before hire date and
- Three written letters of reference and
- Written verification of a satisfactory medical exam
- At least, 3 years of Early Childhood Teaching experience/2 years of staff supervision
