Preschool Teacher, 3 year old class
About This Role
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for three-year-old children. The teacher will provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences that encourage social, emotional, academic, physical, and spiritual growth while helping children build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
Schedule
- Teaching Hours: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Classroom Hours: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Includes one paid planning hour per day

What You'll Do
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate classroom activities and lessons
- Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, and peer relationships
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Observe and document developmental milestones and concerns as needed
- Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and administration
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events as required
- Model Christian values and create an atmosphere where children know they are loved and valued
Requirements
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
- Warm, patient, and dependable demeanor
- Must complete all required background checks and screenings
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively supervise and engage with young children throughout the school day
- Ability to bend, lift, sit on the floor, and participate in classroom activities as needed

Centerville Baptist Children's Program offers preschool, kindergarten, and childcare for these ages. Every child is special, loved, and cared for by our dedicated and experienced staff.
