About This Role

Summer Camp is a temporary position through the summer only. We attend a minimum of 2 field trips per week, and other days are theme based in which Teachers are expected to plan developmentally appropriate activities for children in their groups. Teachers are expected to lead their groups and have activities plan based on the planned theme. Teachers are expected to adapt to the needs of the children and provide a safe and fun filled day.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure licensing rules and regulations are followed
  • Lesson planning
  • Supervision of Children and Teacher Assistants
  • Maintain positive relationships with children and families
  • Must be able to Communicate with families and children
  • Must be able to resolve parental concerns

Requirements

  • Must have a teaching license or be ECE Group Lead Qualified
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field of study with minimum of 30 credits in ECE
  • Must be able to pass all 4 background checks (FBI,CBI,Trails,Out of State)
  • Must have at least 2-years' experience
  • Must be able to physically bend, squat, lift 20lbs, kneel
  • Have strong knowledge of licensing rules and regulations

Nice to Have

  • CPR and First Aid
  • Bi-lingual
