Lead Toddler Teacher

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for toddlers.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Observe, assess, and document children's growth and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and licensing compliance.
• Guide and support assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support children's social-emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center events.
• Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Early Childhood Education Short Certificate or equivalent
• Minimum age requirement as mandated by state licensing regulations.
• Experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
• Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors.

Nice to Have

• Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Lead teacher experience in a toddler classroom.
