2-year-old teacher

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Supervise children at all times using active supervision
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
• Assist with potty training as needed
• Follow diapering and handwashing procedures
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
• Serve meals and snacks according to center procedures
• Complete daily classroom documentation and attendance
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Follow all DSS regulations, ABC Quality standards, and EBLC policies

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Sit, kneel, bend, and stand throughout the day
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Participate in playground supervision and active play
• Respond quickly during emergencies

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must successfully pass all required South Carolina DSS background checks
• Must be eligible to work in a licensed child care facility
• Must obtain or maintain Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain)
• Complete all required DSS training within required timeframes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with toddlers (18–36 months)
• Early Childhood Education coursework or credential preferred
• Experience in a licensed child care setting is a plus
