Preschool Assistant
About This Role
Located in Collierville, FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH & PRESCHOOL is seeking a professional for this After-School Staff role. The position calls for a willingness to earn a CDA, with full program support provided in a faith-based program setting setting, working specifically with the Infant / Toddler (0–2), Preschool (3–5) age bracket. Compensation is structured at $15 – $16/Hr.
This position is working with our 2-5 year-olds in individual age classes (2, 3, 4, or 5's) from 2:30-5:30 Monday - Friday. Students have free play, snack, circle time, reading/cuddle time, gross motor play and sometimes extracurricular activities as scheduled. Assistants will facilitate the activities and supervise play and mealtimes.

What You'll Do
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of materials
- Follow Center policies
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation of children
- Supervise snack time, gross motor play on the playground or in the gym, facilitate play in the centers
- Help ensure smooth transition from the Preschool to home
- Convey any classroom information to parents upon pick-up.
- Maintain professional relationships with parents and other staff.
Requirements
- Must be at least a High School Graduate and 21 years old
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for up to three hours
- Must be active enough to keep pace with small children
- Must be of the Christian Faith
