Good Shepherd Montessori School is seeking a caring, responsible, and confident Aftercare Supervisor to lead our afternoon program in a calm, nurturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values structure and consistency, and can create a warm sense of community at the end of the school day.

What You'll Do
- Supervise and support children during after-school hours
- Maintain a calm, safe, and welcoming environment
- Lead age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, and quiet work time
- Communicate clearly and kindly with children, families, and staff
- Model respectful behavior and positive guidance
- Ensure all licensing, safety, and school policies are followed
Requirements
- Experience working with children (school, childcare, or similar setting)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Warm, patient, and dependable demeanor
- Ability to guide children with consistency and care
- Montessori experience is a plus, but not required
- Must meet all Washington State DCYF licensing requirements, including:
- Active MERIT account
- Completion of required STARS training hours
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Cleared DCYF background check and ongoing compliance
Nice to Have
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd certificate. Montessori Diploma/ training.
