Assistant Teacher
About This Role
This assistant teacher position is located in our infant classroom. Because infants need stability and familiarity, this is a full-time position but can be flexible with hours. 8, 9, 10 hours days are okay!
Assistant teachers are responsible for assisting the classroom lead teacher with general supervision and classroom activities to achieve each individual child's goal. Our infant classroom's day is filled with feeding, rocking, and taking care of the daily needs of children. They must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and be able to relate well with children.

What You'll Do
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the Lead Teacher
- Supervise activities and ensure safety
- Provide input for bi-annual assessment of children's development
- Maintain daily open communication with families through the use of a tracking app (Brightwheel)
- Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene as well as change diapers
- Help to maintain a neat and organized classroom
