Infant Child Care Teacher
About This Role
We are seeking applicants for a teaching position in our infant classroom. The lead teacher is responsible for supervising the classroom and promoting the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the children enrolled. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day/40 hours per week. The hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What You'll Do
The infant teacher will develop and implement weekly lesson plans that are geared toward meeting developmental milestones for the first year of life. The teacher will complete ongoing observation and assessments of the children to modify the activities to meet the needs of each child. The teacher will be responsible for feeding, changing diapers, and general care of the infants. Other duties include organizing and maintaining the classroom, communicating with families verbally and in writing, and keeping updated records.
