Located in Tempe, Growing Daisies Night Care is seeking a professional for this Assistant Director role. The position calls for a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, though it is preferred rather than required in a family child care setting setting, working specifically with the Mixed / All Ages age bracket. Compensation is structured at $22/Hr.
Growing Daisies Night Care is a licensed Child Care Group Home in Tempe, AZ serving children ages 6 weeks–7 years during non-traditional hours (1:00 PM–7:00 AM). We specialize in overnight and evening care for healthcare workers, first responders, and graduate students.
We are hiring a full-time Assistant Director to support daily operations, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and implement our Moonlight Garden Life Skills Curriculum.

What You'll Do
- Supervising and caring for children during evening and overnight hours
- Assisting with curriculum delivery, structured activities, and daily routines
- Maintaining accurate attendance, meal, and incident documentation
- Supporting ADHS R9-3 compliance and licensing standards
- Communicating with families through our parent portal
- Assisting the Director with staff coordination and facility oversight
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (required before first day — no exceptions)
- TB test or screening completed within the past 12 months
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (infant/child, required prior to start)
- Completed health statement signed by a licensed healthcare provider
- No disqualifying background history under Arizona Revised Statutes
Nice to Have
- 1–2 years of experience working with infants and young children
- Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA credential, or related degree
- Experience with overnight or non-traditional hour childcare
- Familiarity with ADHS licensing standards and CACFP documentation
