Closing Assistant Teacher
About This Role
We are seeking a caring and energetic individual to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. This is a vital support role in the classroom and an essential part of keeping our day running smoothly.
As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work closely with staff and families to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Our center serves children ages 6 weeks to 9 years, and staff are expected to be comfortable working with all age groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the classroom Lead Teacher to maintain a positive, organized learning environment
- Supporting daily routines, classroom management, and cleanliness
- Building strong, respectful relationships with children and families
- Contributing to a team culture that values communication, empathy, and professionalism
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, takes direction well, and finds joy in helping children learn and grow.

Requirements
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor with children, families, and staff
- Flexibility to support all classrooms and age groups as needed
- Reliability for a closing shift schedule
- Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Nice to Have
- 18 years + preferred
- 6 Months of experience in a licensed child care, but will train the right person
- CDA or Child development courses but not necessary
