About This Role
The Teacher Assistant fosters a nurturing and secure environment for children, collaborating with the Teacher to enhance education and relationships. The role requires effective communication, active listening, and teamwork in a dynamic environment. By monitoring children's interests and progress, the Teacher Assistant informs parents and staff, while implementing developmentally relevant activities guided by the Teacher and Director.
What You'll Do
- Support the implementation of curricula activities, encouraging children's participation and engagement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped classroom, ensuring activities are accessible and safe.
- Ensure a smooth daily transition from home to the child care center, promoting a seamless start to the day.
- Adhere to all center policies and state regulations, upholding high standards.
- Develop a personalized professional development plan to continually enhance skills and quality of care.
Requirements
- Ability to work well with others.
- High energy.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of child development.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
