Holly Street Day Care is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Toddler/Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are a well-established, family-focused center with a strong emphasis on child development, safety, and positive relationships.
The Toddler/Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 1 to 4 years. This role requires patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Providing attentive care during feeding, diapering, and rest times
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Maintaining proper supervision and name-to-face checks at all times
- Communicating effectively with families and staff
- Following all DHS licensing requirements and Holly Street policies
- Maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization
- Accurately completing required documentation using Procare. Staff will be trained how to use the app.
Schedule:
- Full-time or part-time available
- Monday–Friday (hours discussed during interview)

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience working with toddlers/preschool
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to meet Tennessee DHS childcare requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to lift, bend, and work actively with young children
Preferred (but not required):
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework
- Previous licensed childcare center experience
