HUMC Preschool in Richmond, VA is seeking a qualified Assistant Teacher to work with Infant / Toddler (0–2) in a faith-based program environment. This position requires no formal credential — just relevant experience.

What You'll Do
Your primary responsibilities as a childcare teacher will include:
Attending to the basic needs of our youngest students, such as feeding and diapering
Collaborating with parents and lead teachers to establish and maintain individualized schedules for each child
Fostering meaningful connections with our children through interactive play, reading, singing, and conversation
Providing support to the lead teacher as needed to ensure a smooth and engaging learning environment
Requirements
School hours are 8:00-5:30, with a part-time work schedule of M-F 12:15-5:30 or a full-time work schedule of 9:15-12:30 every day and 3 afternoons per week until 5:30..
A background check is required, and applicants should possess training and/or experience working with children ages 0-5, along with patience, creativity, and a genuine affection for children.
Nice to Have
Above all, we're looking for someone with a passion for early childhood education and a willingness to grow and learn alongside our team.
While not essential, an Associate's Degree or CDA certification would be a wonderful bonus.
