After School Counselor
About This Role
IC3 After School program is now hiring Counselors for the 2026-2027 school year. IC3 After School is a play based program offering children a place to socialize and unwind after a structured day of school. After School Counselors work with elementary age children, 5-10 years of age. Counselors will participate in a variety of hands on activities like: board games, arts & crafts and physical games. Counselors are encouraged to incorporate their own skills, hobbies and interests into the program through our enrichment program offerings. Opportunities for full time employment are available during school closures.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Program Leader with designing and implementing an age appropriate classroom.
- Plan and implement weekly activities
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and fun learning environment
- Abide by OCFS regulations
- Be responsible and reliable
- Communicate clearly and professionally
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Physical ability to sit, squat, stand, run and occasionally lift, hold, move weight more than 40 lbs
- Enjoy interacting and engaging with school age children
Nice to Have
- Experience working with school age children
- Knowledge of OCFS regulations
