Pre-K Teacher
About This Role
Jefferson's Early Learning Center in 72034, AR is seeking a qualified Pre-K Teacher to work with Preschool (3–5) in a center-based, faith-based program environment. This position requires the appropriate professional qualifications.
The teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom per all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a lesson plan to teach young children.

What You'll Do
- Ability to establish rapport and building professional relationships with students
- Student Supervision
- Ensure compliance at the classroom level with activities and record keeping due to the state department (Minimum Licensing Standards, Early Childhood Environment Rating Scales etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Complete all lesson planning and instruction requirements, and provide support for struggling learners
- Attend meetings related to the child in assigned class, attend professional development activities
- Communicate with parents and provide parent engagement activities
- Excellent time management, high degree of professionalism
- Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well-maintained and safe at all times
- Establish acceptable and consistent disciplinary policies
- Be familiar with emergency procedures
- Discuss children’s day with parents
- Discuss children’s development with the director and parents when appropriate
- A growth mindset, able to accept change and challenges to prior learning
Requirements
Degree in Education or Related field, required
Computer experience
Knowledge of the Conscious Discipline Model
