This Preschool Teacher opportunity at Kiddie Academy of Rocky Hill serves Preschool (3–5) and requires completed early childhood education college credits. Based in Rocky Hill, CT, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.
Kiddie Academy of Rocky Hill is looking for an experienced, responsible, emotionally stable, warm, and friendly Preschool Teacher who shares our passion for Early Childhood Education.
You will work with children from 3 to 5 years old. Applicants must be able to meet CT licensing requirements, to cooperate with others and help to create a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
What You'll Do
Ensures that the physical, social and emotional needs of the children are met daily.
Creates activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children through well-defined interest areas.
Assists and supervises children during all activities.
Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained, in accordance with the NAEYC cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
Completes all Academy and classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports.
Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, programs and schedules.
Develops, plans and prepares instructional aids and/or materials for classroom activities.
Assists children with meal times and cleanup.
Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.
Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement.
Maintains the Family Information Board and other classroom bulletin boards.
Requirements
Experience in Early Childhood Education
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Nice to Have
CPR/First Aid certificate
Medication Administration Certificate
