As the Lead Teacher, you will guide classroom operations, mentor teaching staff, and create a nurturing environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.

What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS)
- Create engaging learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and growth
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Supervise children and ensure compliance with licensing regulations and classroom ratios
- Lead and support assistant teachers and classroom staff
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Monitor and document children's developmental progress
- Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional learning
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
Requirements
Qualifications
- State Teaching License
- Experience working in an early childhood education setting
- Strong leadership and classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and team members
- Passion for creating engaging learning environments for young children
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
