About This Role
Laceys Littles Childcare and Learning Center, play-based childcare center, is hiring a full-time Preschool Teacher. This position is an 8 hour shift, Monday - Friday.
Laceys Littles has strong beliefs and philosophies regarding child-led, play-based curriculum and empathic, respectful interactions with young children. We are looking for a preschool teacher in an early learning center who embodies these same beliefs and will treat our preschoolers with the respect and love that they deserve. Candidates must have experience working in an early childhood classroom with a play-based curriculum, along with developing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and portfolios. This position requires someone who is willing to be very hands on and involved in the daily activities and must be self sufficient in delivering the planned lessons. Candidates must be punctual and dependable. Pay is based on experience and education.

What You'll Do
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
- Provide basic needs for children
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with children and parents
- Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
- Track childrens’ progress and report to parents
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
- Help children reach developmental milestones
- Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans
- Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
- Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
- Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
- Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling
- Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements
High school diploma or higher
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to pass a background check
Experience in childcare is required
Nice to Have
Previous Pre-K teaching experience
