About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Ketchum, OK. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where infants can grow, explore, and reach developmental milestones. You will design age-appropriate activities, build strong relationships with families, and mentor assistant teaching staff to ensure the highest standards of infant care.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement a nurturing, play-based curriculum tailored to infant milestones.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets state licensing regulations.
- Monitor and document each infant's daily routines, developmental progress, and individual needs.
- Communicate consistently and warmly with parents regarding their child's daily care and milestones.
- Guide and mentor assistant teachers inside the classroom to maintain high care standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience caring for infants in a licensed childcare center.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them immediately upon hire.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprint screening as required by Oklahoma state law.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 35 pounds and frequently bend, stoop, and sit on the floor.
Nice to Have
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Prior knowledge of Oklahoma childcare licensing regulations and STARS rating systems.
- Experience working with electronic daily reporting applications for parent communication.
