What You'll Do
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Supervise and care for toddlers or infants while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and center policies.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage exploration, learning, and growth.
- Support children’s social-emotional development through positive guidance and nurturing interactions.
- Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, toileting, feeding, handwashing, and rest time.
- Observe and document children’s progress, milestones, and developmental needs.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding their child’s daily activities, achievements, and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support program goals and classroom success.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, or degree.
- Experience working with infants or toddlers.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
