Join our vibrant educational community in Cottonwood, AZ, as a part-time Music and ASL Teacher for the 2026/2027 academic year. In this unique dual role, you will inspire students by bridging the worlds of musical expression and American Sign Language. You will design dynamic lessons that foster creativity, inclusivity, and linguistic skills, helping students of diverse backgrounds connect through both sound and visual communication.
What You'll Do
Plan and deliver engaging Music and American Sign Language (ASL) curricula.
- Conduct elementary or middle school music classes, incorporating vocal, instrumental, and rhythmic activities.
- Teach introductory to intermediate ASL vocabulary, grammar, and Deaf culture to hearing and non-hearing students.
- Organize and direct school performances, concerts, and inclusive presentations that showcase both music and signing.
- Maintain a supportive, well-managed classroom environment that accommodates various learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student growth, IEP accommodations, and community engagement.
