Infant Room Teacher

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and supervision for infants and toddlers ages 0–2
• Change diapers and assist with toileting and hygiene needs
• Feed children and follow individual feeding schedules and dietary requirements
• Create and implement weekly curriculum plans and age-appropriate activities
• Engage children in learning through play, music, sensory activities, reading, and outdoor play
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Take children outdoors for walks, playground time, and outdoor activities when weather permits
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff regarding children’s daily activities and development
• Lift and carry children and classroom items up to 40 pounds
• Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies
• Perform other duties and assigned tasks as requested by the Center Director

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred
• Must be patient, nurturing, and dependable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass required background checks
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to sit, bend, kneel, and move actively throughout the day
• Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors
