Toddler Teacher

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for toddlers ages 2–3 years old in a safe and nurturing environment
• Plan and implement weekly curriculum and age-appropriate learning activities
• Encourage learning through play, music, art, sensory activities, story time, and outdoor play
• Assist children with potty training, diaper changing, handwashing, and other personal care needs
• Serve meals and snacks while promoting healthy eating habits
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Monitor children’s behavior and development and communicate with parents regarding progress and daily activities
• Take children outside daily for walks, playground time, and outdoor learning activities when weather permits
• Promote positive social interactions, sharing, and emotional development
• Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies
• Lift and carry children and classroom items up to 40 pounds
• Perform other duties and assigned tasks as requested by the Center Director

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience working with toddlers preferred
• Passion for working with young children and supporting early childhood development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass required background checks
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day
• Ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors
