Join the support team at Miller Hardware Company in Valdosta, GA as a Warehouse Shipping Specialist. This role pays $15 – $16/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.
The Warehouse Shipping Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation of outbound orders and ensuring customers receive the correct product on time. This role will be responsible for invoicing orders for drivers, opening the warehouse at the beginning of the day, and driving routes or vehicles as a backup when needed. The Specialist will report to the Warehouse Manager and work a full-time, 40-hour week position.
This is a key role in our warehouse operations and requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds without assistance.

What You'll Do
Pulling Order Tickets (Picking)
- Efficiently pick products from specified locations based on printed order tickets, using scanners to confirm item and quantity accuracy during the picking/checking process.
- Prepare and stage completed orders for the shipping department by consolidating, light packing, and wrapping.
- Meet daily order fulfillment quotas by maintaining speed and accuracy.
Invoicing Order Tickets and Loadout Trucks
- Use the point of sale system to notate piece count, verify ticket quantities, and invoice tickets, then organize invoices by route for the drivers.
- Lead the loadout process by calling out order numbers and ensuring the driver has the total number of pieces needed for each order.
Secondary/Cross-Functional Support
- Assist with Other Roles: When the primary tasks are complete or during periods of high inbound volume, the Specialist is expected to assist the Warehouse Receiving team, including unloading trailers and placing product into its designated storage locations.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds without assistance
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
- Ability to tolerate low and high temperature work environment
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and/or pull in repetitive motions
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and/or pull in repetitive motions
- Clean driving record
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers
- Positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy with data entry and picking.

- Forklift experience
- Prior experience with order fulfillment
