Advancing Academic and Social Development, the Assistant Teacher collaborates with our esteemed Educators and Director to foster a nurturing environment that sparks imagination and discovery. By actively participating in lesson planning, assisting with engaging activities, and engaging in open communication with colleagues and families, they play a vital role in shaping a comprehensive education. Through observation, documentation, and parental updates, our Assistant Teacher helps to track each child's growth and interests, working closely to support the entire team in delivering a high-quality early childhood program that empowers young minds and establishes a lifelong bond between families, staff, and students.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Must earn a Child Development Associate (CDA)
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
